CNA CERTIFICATION in New Jersey
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate is organized by New Jersey Department of Health and Human Services. Working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) requires a great deal of dedication and patience. At the time of emergency, CNAs play a crucial role.
For this certificate, you need to undergo training programs that emphasize providing theoretical knowledge in the classroom and practical knowledge in the clinics. After completing the training course, you have to qualify an examination conducted by the state of Hawaii, to get a CNA certification.
You need to undergo the training for at least 175 hours that includes 75 hours course training with 100 hours of clinical rotation, which goes for 8 to 13 weeks in order to earn 75 accredited hours. Training on clinical service is also provided. Training consists of patient communication, anatomy, administering medication, operating medical equipments, bathing and feeding patients, infection control, taking health measurements and nutrition. Training hours need to be finished through training programs as prescribed by the New Jersey government. The nurse assistant classes are also conducts for 2 to 6 months.
New Jersey CNA Certification Requirements
One needs to fulfill the following requirements in order to earn the CNA certificate:
The General Educational Development certificate or High School Diploma, any one out of two is mandatory as well as passing the Nursing Assistant Examination. You need to finish the required training course or program in order to take the certification exam.
You have to submit a photo id, two finger print marks, immunizations proof, current background check, TB test of last 6 months and two passport size photos.
Transferring CNA Certification

Third step is to verify from the company, is there any charge that you have to send with the application.
Fourth step is to read the instructions carefully before filling up the endorsement form along with the criminal record form and send it to the address (provided on the form).
CNA Certification Renewal in New Jersey
As you become the certified nursing assistant, you have 2 years to work with the same license. If you want to continue working as a certified nursing assistant, you are advised to renew your license before its expiry.
You will receive the form well in advance from the nursing aide registry, which you need to fill and mail it back along with required documents and renewal fee. If you have performed at least for 8 hour during the last 2 years without having bad career record then it’s very easy to get the renewal.
