CNA Classes in Maine

A certified nursing assistant is a person, who works under the guidance of a licensed practical nurse or a registered nurse. To be eligible for enrollment in a CNA class of Maine, you need to be at least sixteen years old, you should be able to write & read in English, you shouldn鈥檛 have any past criminal record and you should have studied up to at least ninth grade. You will also need a letter of recommendation during the time of admission.

CNA class fee may range from $800 to $2000 in Maine. The course structure of CNA classes includes both practical training and theoretical classes. In order to be eligible to sit for the certification examination, the student will need at least 180 hours of classroom training from a state approved CNA class. Out of 180 hours, 90 hours should be dedicated to classroom study, 20 hours should be given to the clinical coursework and 70 hours should be dedicated to clinical practice (which is to be carried under a health care supervisor).
